One of the key highlights of the Congress was the unanimous decision by delegates to amend the EUBC constitution, signaling a commitment to strengthening the foundations of the confederation. Within the framework of the Congress, plans were unveiled for a new EUBC office in Monaco, Monte Carlo, scheduled to open in September this year. Additionally, the office in Assisi, Italy, will continue to serve as the headquarters, facilitating the administration of the European Boxing Confederation.
President Kremlev proposed the establishment of a European Boxing Cup with a generous prize fund of $1 million, aiming to provide greater financial support to boxers and elevate the profile of the sport. Furthermore, the IBA will continue to allocate $50,000 USD as financial support to the federations, with plans to increase the amount to $100,000 USD the following year.
President Kremlev underscored the importance of directing the revenue generated towards the boxers, recognizing their unwavering dedication and considering boxing as their full-time vocation deserving of proper compensation.
