According to the pop diva, the album is “different” from 2020’s “Future Nostalgia.”
According to Dua Lipa, since she started working on her upcoming third album, it has “taken a complete turn.”
The pop diva stated that the follow-up to the critically acclaimed “Future Nostalgia” (2020) was “50% done” in an interview with Elton John back in March. She exclaimed, “I’m excited about some of the new tunes.
Then, in September, Lipa outlined how she felt “more in control” when creating her newest record: I feel even more liberated in a other way as I’m writing my next album.
In a recent interview with Variety, Lipa addressed her earlier remark that she was working on her third full-length album. She explained to the source, “Well when I was speaking to Elton, I truly felt like I was halfway done.
But as I continued to work, it completely changed, and I now genuinely believe that it is beginning to sound unified. I’ll keep writing over the first few months of the new year to see where it leads me.
The album is different, according to Lipa: “It’s still pop but it has a new sound, and there’s more of a lyrical concept. Everything would make sense if I told you the title, but I believe we’ll just have to wait.
The news comes after the singer was spotted last week in the recording studio with Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones. Lipa’s Instagram caption for the collection of pictures read “Sweeet week.”
Back in January, Lipa made her third album’s first tease. The actress revealed she had “done a major portion of writing” for the record at the time, but she wasn’t “in any rush” to release anything.
